Genuine Mitsubishi Exhaust Manifold Stud/Nut/Washer M10 Set to suit EVO1–9 (4G63T).

Exhaust hardware is exposed to extreme heat and constant vibration. Using inferior studs can lead to stretching, thread damage, or broken studs – all of which cause exhaust leaks, poor performance, and costly repairs.

Genuine Mitsubishi studs are manufactured from the correct high-tensile material, with precise heat treatment to ensure long-lasting strength and durability.

The OEM nuts and washers are also designed to maintain clamping force under thermal expansion, preventing the manifold from working loose.

  • Suits Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I–IX (4G63T)

  • Includes stud, nut, and washer (M10 size)

  • 2 sets required per car (complete fitment)

  • Genuine Mitsubishi part – ensures correct fit, strength, and reliability

Why Titanium Studs Are Not Recommended

While titanium hardware is often marketed as lightweight and strong, it’s not suitable for exhaust manifolds on Mitsubishi EVOs:

  • Poor Heat Resistance: Titanium loses strength when exposed to the extreme temperatures of a turbocharged exhaust manifold. This can lead to stretching, loosening, or failure over time.

  • Galling Issues: Titanium is prone to galling (cold welding) when torqued, which makes removal very difficult and often damages threads in the cylinder head.

  • Thermal Expansion Mismatch: Titanium expands and contracts differently compared to cast iron/steel manifolds and the 4G63T cylinder head. This mismatch can reduce clamping force and cause exhaust leaks.

  • Cost vs Reliability: Despite being more expensive, titanium offers no real-world advantage in this application compared to OEM high-tensile steel studs.
