Technical Description:
The NGK BPR8ES is a 1-step colder copper-core spark plug for Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I–VIII and Galant VR-4 4G63T engines running higher boost or more aggressive timing. The colder heat range helps manage combustion temperatures and reduces the risk of pre-ignition under heavy load.

Like all NGK copper plugs, the BPR8ES offers excellent thermal conductivity, but requires more frequent replacement compared to iridium types. Best suited for tuned or track-driven cars where plug inspection is part of regular maintenance.

When to Replace:

• Every 8,000–12,000 km in performance use

• Misfires under heavy load or boost

• Evidence of detonation or overheating on hotter plugs
